Somebody, somewhere said that the Morrari still had its knock off hubs, with the steel wheels, but it certainly hasn't in your pic.

Re: Yards And Yarns
So, Roger, what did you think of the article ? I just have to wonder how the car has been elevated to cult status with such a short time on the track and so little success. Maybe it was like the V16 BRM......famous for its sound but not much else. Certainly the right guy owns it now and it would be ...

Holy smoke, that was some wack........Angus is looking a bit pale, as well he might. I have to say he apologised profusely to me when he arrived back at the pit.......but I forgave him.......well what else could I do ?........and he paid for all the repair. Was the first festival at HD, the Bruce ...

Hello.....there must be someone out there that has a photo of the Fogg Cooper S upside down on the corner leading into the Seddon road straight. It had glanced one of the big earthmover tyres and flipped during a passing manoevre.........would be very interested to see it. Thanks.

Re: What's the answer?
Yes, and I will say it again........there are an increasing number of Japanese cars appearing......more reliable, easier to get bits for......the older English stuff is just that....OLD. Go back ten years and see what was on the grid.....go back thirty years and most of todays racers wouldnt even ...

Re: Austin-HealeyÂ’s and the Austin Healey Car Club of NZ and Others
I would really like to know just how much of the original car survives in this machine........It suffered a very horrific smash from which something MAY have survived........and while we are at it, shouldnt it be the Corvette Healey rather than the Healey Corvette.......as in Austin Healey, Nash ...

Re: Austin-HealeyÂ’s and the Austin Healey Car Club of NZ and Others
Was hoping to get a reply from you Roger regarding the Healey Corvette's standing 1/4 time. From memory it was 16.8.......I am sure a standard 100/4 would do that......a lot of work installing a big engine for very little gain.....I seem to remember Dave Silcock racing against it in its day and ...

Re: Austin-HealeyÂ’s and the Austin Healey Car Club of NZ and Others
Was at the Festival last weekend as well, but didnt go out that I saw........what a shame....we need to see AND hear these machines. Has been nicely restored but I wonder how much of the original is there. Was surprised at the standing 1/4 time on the info board........I thought it would be much ...

Re: Ray Archibald's XK120 and MK2 Jaguars
I felt the car lost something when it was restored and gained fat wheels and a rollbar. Compare it with post 24 in all its original guise, was one hell of car back then........but it was also just another troublesome English sports car. When I came to sell my XK120 DHC I had a big job getting 500 ...

Chris, clearly you have a few more dollars in the bank now.........remember the old days when you couldnt afford to mend your shoes and carried a piece of linoleum, or was it cardboard around with you to put under your shoes to stop the rising damp ! Have a great pic somewhere of you posed by your ...

Greg, you say that you now have the correct donor vehicle. What was the problem with the first one.......the yellow LoLite. There was some discussion on another thread that the original car was a Hi lite with the light pods removed........I find that hard to believe. If it was, the body man made a ...

Re: Race programme - essential info
It is fairly obvious to me, that the theme for next years festival, Bathurst, is aiming at a completely different spectator group and competitor interest, than the present Classic/Historic bias. I am sure that the homework has gone into this, and it will be a roaring success, but our funny old race ...
