Kerry Grant A40
I have memories that you are right with Jim Boyd in the P1800. PDL Falcon (agree Jac) Any good A40, but the Kerry Grant one when it was black with the orange nose band was best Paul Adams 2002 Silvester Chev Morrari The black one was Kerry's 2nd A40, and it had (so it was believed) more horsepower ...

The Jeff Law Collection
I am posting some of my photos from NZ motorsport in the early 60s, which may interest some. Bruce_Watt_A40_1s.jpg Bruce_Watt_A40_2s.jpg Bruce_Watt_A40_3s.jpg These three are of Bruce Watt, my employer in those days, in his Farina A40 - not as fast as Kerry Grant's first one, but a joy to drive, as ...

Introduction - Jeff Law
I joined this site due to my lengthy interest in motor-racing, sparked by my employment by Bruce Watt in Palmerston North in 1959. Bruce was a well-known local identity who also raced a Minor 1000. He sold this shortly after I started wok at his shop and replaced it with a Farina A40, which (once ...

Re: The Barrie McBride Collection part 4
I believe that the photos from Ohakea 1961, and a number of the early Levin ones, were taken by me, and given to Barrie. No criticism, just clarifying the origin!
I'm particularly fond of the shot of Jensen changing the tyre of his 3.8 Jaguar on the hairpin. Wouldn't get away with that these days!

Re: Minis and Imps
Back in the 'old' days, I had a 1960 850 Mini, which become somewhat tired in the engine department. In late 1964, I bought a brand-new 1100 engine (in it's original wooden crate) from the Wanganui BMC dealer, and fitted it to the Mini, with considerable assistance from my brother, Ron Law (he who ...

Re: Minis and Imps
Interesting that you should post that picture with the Zephyr Ute. That was taken by a friend of mine many years ago at, I believe, Levin!
