Re: New Zealand OSCA Database - Histories And Whereabouts
Good to see another one saved and restored. Going to have to re-do the front flares by that pic, they are mounted about 2'' too low on front guards- When molds/patterns were built RR was made to do LF and LR for RF with front portion ...

Re: New Zealand OSCA Database - Histories And Whereabouts
Car is still with current custodian in canterbury., its going to have issues with front flares/tire contact unless they leave it at that height. Original had them mounted about 2" higher, was designed to use flare from RR on LF & LR on RF with front portion fabricated from steel on each side.

Probably helped Woody to get into the USA import scene procuring parts for it. His was blue ...

Plug and Play, sponsorship from the respective electricity suppliers, might remove the need to hit car club members in the pocket again to keep the motor sport coffers topped up.

Re: New Zealand Historic Saloon Cars Under HRC
Our last race meeting for the season is this weekend at HD, Legends of Speed. We look as if we will have a combind grid of close to 20 which is great for a smaller meeting. We have quite a few new cars joining HSC, a Triumph Dolomite Sprint, ex Aussie Group C car now in NZ and another Mk1 Escort ...

The Lotus 30 (?) helmet looks a bit modern for 1980 I thought??
When I worked at Charlton Auto Woody was importing full face helmets from ~1973 onwards. xtra, Gurney had one at 1968 Indy 500, Google suggests first made in 1967.

Correct (I have since labelled it). Apparently this car is now in Europe. It had me baffled initially but having accessed the race programme, then gone Googling - as you do - it was yet another interesting diversion. I knew it looked like the Ford but also knew it wasn't one, but initially knew ...

mk4 Zephyr back end (independent) should be ok if you can find one as they all ended up in speedway saloons. Couple or three of those floating round here somewhere, Rover 3500 might be better, taller ratio. Most MKIV's were 3.7/3.9. If you want a full transaxle assy Porsche 924/928 or the small ...

I don't know what the strange combination of camera/settings/light/film have confluenced together in these pics from Teretonga 1970, but the soft hue is really quite remarkable. There have been a few others from the same set on TRS over the last couple of years including two Begg FM2s sitting side ...
