This is a high-quality 1:43rd resin model of John McCormack's #9 Ansett-sponsored 1973 Chrysler VJ Valiant Charger.

Exterior finish of this model is excellent, and it has a detailed interior. It is a limited edition model (only 500 produced) and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The model is supplied in a black hinged-lid presentation case.

The model is available online at www.spr-models.co.nz

History of car : This highly modified, Repco-Holden V8 powered 'Super Charger' was driven by John McCormack to win the 1974 'Toby Lee' Sports Sedan Series.

Under its modified Charger shell the car's specifications were virtually identical to McCormack's Formula 5000 car. It featured Elfin F5000 wishbone suspension with coil over shocks, and F5000 brakes. The Repco-Holden V8 was moved back into the cabin so that it was positioned completely behind the firewall (a front mid-engine position). The total domination of the 1974 series by this car, led other competitors to rethink the design of future Sports Sedans.
