Yes, Pete Delore owned my old ex 1960 Palmer Lotus 20B. I ran 5.50 x15 Dunlops on wobblies on the rear. What size on your car as looks like they could be 600's. Chris Read, Arrowtown.

Pete De lore owned a 20B Lotus, and was the brains behind the wings you see on the #68 and and in the top photo. He was a good friend to Bill McCabe from Geraldine, who owned my fathers Lotus, and he crashed it at Teretonga

Yep thats the car, and my dad Roger at the wheel, Michael, that would be about right, had a test day in late 2015 before leadfoot, also had a quick run at the MG Classic meeting at Manfield in Nov 2015

Thanks markson, The car was #67 from Shaw to baker, then #22 from then on. It is now restored and circulating and made its maiden appearance at Leadfoot last year. #68 is Pete De Lore who also built the rear wing and front winglets on the Baker car when Bill McCabe owned it.

Yeh I jumped in too, then spotted the OP was nearly 5 years old.

As I recall Baker's lovely BT21 had a GLTL-replica paint job as well, but with a silvery-gold, and green rather than crimson, good-looking car.

Hi all,

I am hoping someone has a photo stored away somewhere of Graham Baker in his Lotus 20 around 1968. It was ferrari red with a white stripe and had gold leaf pointing, replicating the Gold Leaf Team Lotus colours. We are a few weeks away from painting this car and want to paint it the same colours. However with a photo we may be able to see any sign writing or little details that we can ensure goes back on the car. If anyone has some photos, it would be fantastic to see them. In fact any of these drivers in the Lotus would be awesome

Tony Shaw 1965-1967 Mid to Pastel Blue
Graham Baker 1967-1968 Red with white stripe (as above)
Dave Mitchell 1968 - 19?? Metallic Blue with white stripe (nueve mode fashion sponsors)
Bill McCabe 19?? - 1971 Metallic Plum with white stripe (front winglets and rear wing built by Peter De Lore)

Not sure what year Bill McCabe bought the car, but I know he crashed it in 1971 at Teretonga quite spectacularly.
