I would have though that event will be the "New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing (2013)" and surely deserves its own thread. That was the point I was making

Correct, to much for a tired mind.

Rod, you're confusing David again! The Amon Festival was 2011 - last year was the BMW Festival. What have they lined up for us for 2014?

Sorry to confuse you David, it is what was at last years Amon Festival and is an appertiser for what may be seen and more over next couple of weekends at Denny Hulme Festival Hampton Downs.

David, this thread was started on 21 January 2012, and is about the 2012 NZFMR / BMW Festival - hence the title. No we're not a year behind here in NZ.

A couple more JPS Group A BMW's . Probably the first time ever these cars have all been together.

Got a few more but they wont up load. You notice in the "Team" shot we have Jim Richards, Ludwig Finaur (racer and engine builder for JPS) and Pip Barker who built the JPS cars.

Hey Mike, those JPS group shots are great!

Spoke with Pete Sturgeon at Ruapuna on Sunday, he was driving his 3 litre Capri as the BMW is on its way to Aus for Jim Richards to drive over there.

I spoke to the owners, who assured me it was the real thing. I didn't ask which of the cars it was though.
