Hi All. A great site Steve. I’ve managed to trawl my way through most of the threads already! I’ve been involved in motor racing most of my life but mostly in rallying. Still involved in club level motorsport competing when I can keep the shiny side up and organising when I can't! My passion has always been Escorts and in fact I'm restoring one of those lost race cars of the 70's or should I say lost to most people. It's the AWA Escort driven by Dick Sellens around the 76 - 77 season but I'm sure someone on here will be able to enlighten me on the dates it raced as I was really only following rallying then with just a passing interest in circuit racing. It was a factory race car with a really interesting history before coming to NZ but will write about it somewhere else on here.
